We watched lighting strike close by here in Maryland.
There was scary thunder and rain poured down on
our streets. Highways were closed. We were not sure
exactly what or who had been hit. Had the storm taken
down sheltering trees? Could a parched Earth absorb rain?
Behind us a neihbor's child does not understand why he
can not go swiming? It was as if Mother Nature had said,
Enough! In every state, North, South, East and West of us,
all people seem unable to deal with reality. Some of us
are homeless, without food and water.
We need to extend more kindness to each other.
